Franmarine is in an exciting phase of growth and we are actively searching for a highly skilled, team orientated and knowledgeable HSEQ Manager to become an invaluable part of our exceptional team.
As an integral part of the Franmarine team, you will report directly to the CEO and includes the following responsibilities;
- Analyse current, develop and implement HSEQ policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies;
- Provide leadership and guidance to the team ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies;
- Provide advice on HSEQ matters to managers, supervisors and personnel;
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the HSEQ programs and implement improvements as necessary;
- Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management strategies to mitigate hazards and risks;
- Promote a positive health and safety culture with open communication;
- Coordinating the management of Company preferred suppliers / subcontractors;
- Manage incident reporting and investigation processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting of incidents and implementation of corrective actions;
- Develop and deliver HSEQ training to employees to increase awareness and knowledge of HSEQ policies and procedures;
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and conduct all Internal and External HSEQ Audits.
- Work collaboratively with the team to identify HSE needs whilst reviewing and implementing processes to positively support team and business operations.
Our ideal candidate will have the HSEQ skills, experience and flexibility to support all HSEQ functions within the company.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Certificate IV in WHS (or similar);
- ISO Internal Auditor Certificate (preferred); and
- Incident Investigation Training (ICAM or Taproot) (preferred); and
- Cert in Training and Assessment (desirable)
Experience:
- Must have extensive knowledge of International Standards ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and knowledge of ISO 27001;
- Strong background in Quality Assurance
- 5 years minimum experience in a similar role and a working knowledge of the current WHS legislation throughout Australia;
- HSEQ experience in marine, commercial diving or construction would be advantageous but not essential; and
- A proven track record of experience in a similar position.

- Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook;
- Ability to work autonomously & be part of a small team;
- Practical, hands-on approach; and
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
