AddressDM Civil is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated HSEQ Manager with civil construction experience to join our team. Being a communications champion, this role will suit someone astute with evolving legislative requirements and systems application, but still with an active interest engaging with workers on site.
Your hands-on and relatable approach will ensure best practice in all matters of HSEQ including procedure application and improvements, site advising and stakeholder engagement, risk assessments, workforce mentoring, audits, reporting and compliance with our Integrated Management System and client requirements.
To be successful in this position, you will:
• Hold a minimum Cert IV in WHS but preferably higher qualification,
• Cert IV in Training & Assessment, high risk skills, environmental and/or internal auditing qualifications are advantageous,
• Have at least 5 years' experience as a HSEQ Manager or Advisor,
• Have experience working in the civil construction industry,
• Understand and embrace the importance of HSEQ,
• Have a proven ability to positively communicate with all stakeholders, and
• Have a systematic and thorough approach to documentation.
Key responsibilities include:
• Partnering with our site crews to ensure all workers understand and embrace the importance of health, wellbeing and safety systems,
• Sharing your technical knowledge and researching HSEQ issues to support safe construction practices,
• Assessing compliance with company and client systems and expectations,
• Monitoring, investigating and recording workplace incidents,
• Communicating and consulting with workers to encourage and enforce a safe and healthy workplace culture,
• Regularly conducting workplace inspections to identify any opportunities for improvement.
