NQM Gold 2 Pty Ltd is an Australian gold explorer, developer, and producer operating locally in Northern QLD Since 2009. Southwest of Townsville, the Pajingo mine is around 50km from Charters Towers and currently employs around 250 people to run the underground mining, open cut, and ore processing operations. Charters Towers is close to Townsville and the beauty of the Great Barrier Reef, offering the charms of regional living with the added bonus of a Capital City close by. 

The role is DIDO based in Charters Towers working an 12/9 roster, 12 hours a day. 

About the role: 

The HST Superintendent is responsible for the management of the HST team and functionality at PJO to provide HST advice, support and guidance whilst further ensuring implementation and compliance to group and site OHS policies, systems, and frameworks to meet legislative requirements and contribute to the health, safety and well-being of all Pajingo employees and contractors.

About you: 

• Must have Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety 
• Hold Certificate IV Training & Assessing 
• Proficient in the use of H&S software packages
• Highly advantageous to have INX or SAP experience
• Highly advantageous to have ERT experience and quals
• Extensive Underground Metalliferous Mining Experience
• Experience working with the mines inspectorate.
• Experience working in remote areas
