Your contribution and key responsibilities
- Provide Human Resource policy and practice advice to stakeholders.
- Contribute to develop and implement Human Resources policies, strategies and initiatives that support, strengthen and build our workforce.
- Work with the Manager and team members to transform our culture through a focus on organisational development initiatives, networking, wellbeing, engagement, diversity and inclusiveness.
- Participate in community of practice working groups and build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Contribute to Human Resource projects, including research and analysis and the preparation of reports, submissions and correspondence.
- Support the team to embed cultural practice, capability, and safety across the department through training, education and ongoing professional development and ensure mechanisms are in place to address cultural safety concerns and promote the well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
What we are looking for….
sound knowledge of employment legislation and contemporary Human Resource practices.
experience working collaboratively with others in developing and implementing a range of Human Resource strategies and practices.
the ability to contribute to developing and implementing workplace health and wellbeing initiatives to maximise inclusion and diversity and contribute to a psychological safe and positive workplace culture.
high level organisational and time management skills to deliver work outcomes in a fast paced and dynamic work environment.
high level communication skills and ability to cultivate productive working relationships.
high level research and analytical skills, including the ability to compile succinct reports using excel and other Microsoft projects and services.
