About the Role
We are seeking a temporary HR Coordinator to join our team on a part-time basis and provide essential support during the extended leave period of our current People & Culture Manager. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer / Country Managing Director for Australia, the Temporary HR Coordinator will play a crucial role in managing day to day HR operations and ensuring the well-being of our employees.
Responsibilities
Recruitment Support:
- Assist in job posting and tracking on relevant platforms
- Conduct initial phone screenings of candidates
- Provide administrative support throughout the recruitment process
Onboarding Process:
- Oversee the new hire onboarding process, ensuring a seamless transition for all new employees
- Coordinate with relevant departments to facilitate orientation sessions and training
HR Administration:
- Manage HR administrative activities, including contract administration and document management
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and HR policies
- Maintain accurate records of employee data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Maintain confidentiality of all HR-related information
Team Events:
- Support the planning and execution of monthly & quarterly team events and activities to foster a positive work culture
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to organize engaging and inclusive events
Office Management (Melbourne Office):
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Melbourne office, ensuring a productive and organised work environment
- Coordinate office logistics, including supplies procurement, maintenance requests and facility management
- Act as the primary point of contact for office-related inquiries and issues, liaising with building management as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in HR administration is required
- Experience in staffing coordination and recruitment is desirable
- Strong organisation skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledgeable with computers and software programs including Google Suite
Duration & Hours
This is a temporary, part-time contract position, covering the extended leave period of the current People & Culture Manager from July 2024 to January 2025 for 30 hours per week. The 30 hours are flexible and can be worked across Monday - Friday as agreed to by both parties. We are looking for someone to start mid June to do a handover with the People & Culture Manager.
