The Hampton Transport group of companies, incorporating Hampton Mining & Civil, is one of Australia's biggest and most successful privately-owned haulage and earthmoving operations. From the haulage of ore in triple road trains, mining, earthmoving and heavy equipment delivery, Hampton Transport are leaders in remote area operations.
Hampton are currently looking for an experienced Human Resource Manager to join their team.
This is a residential role based in Kalgoorlie. Relocation assistance may be considered for the right candidate.
Reporting to the Mining Manager, leading a small team, the day to day duties will comprise the management and delivery of all Human Resources activities covering all aspects of an employee “lifecycle” including;
- Leading in the development and implementation of HR principles, policies, practices and systems in support of the business strategy and organisational objectives;
- Partnering with business leaders to provide ongoing coaching, support and guidance for all HR/IR related matters;
- Manage the day to day operations of the HR function;
- Interpret modern awards and legislation;
- Review and development of workplace policies and procedures, promoting a constructive business culture, positive employee morale and a safe working environment;
- Recommend, initiate and implement strategies to enhance management capabilities, including the development and implementation of supervisory training programs;
- Undertake investigation of employee grievance matters;
- Oversee and provide advice on performance management matters;
- Coordinate and manage recruitment initiatives for the business;
- Oversee on-boarding and inductions;
- Manage and coordinate payroll activities;
Skills;
- Qualification in Human Resources or related and/or at least 5 years experience in a similar role;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal;
- Ability to be flexible;
- Excellent knowledge of Fair Work Act and relevant awards;
