HEH Civil is a growing company providing a diverse range of civil construction services to local councils and state government clients in Far North Queensland and South East Queensland. HEH is currently looking for a HR and Payroll Coordinator to join our team in Cairns FNQ to assist us through the growth.
About the role
In this position you will be working closely with the General Manager, the Operations Manager and the Systems Manager supporting our operational systems. This role is ideal for someone that wants to join the construction industry and grow in their career within the Business.
As our HR Administrator you will be responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of training and development programs, employee benefits and engagement programs and assisting our management teams with recruitment while helping the business drive a positive organisational culture.

Skills and experience
- Certificate IV in HR or Diploma in Human Resources Management
- Understanding of the building and construction award will be advantageous
- Experience providing support in a HR capacity
- Outstanding communications skills, both verbally and written
- Confidence in assisting with change management and assisting teams through change
- Demonstrated experience with end-to-end recruitment
- At ease operating performance management systems
- Ability to provide sound advice in all facets of employment legislation, including Industrial Relations, Employee Relations, and Organisational Development will be regarded
- Advanced Microsoft Excel experience
