The Opportunity
As our Human Resources Advisor, you’ll support our progressive and authentic firm as we champion what’s right. Based in our Brisbane CBD head office, and as part of a broader team of friendly, collaborative HR professionals, you’ll engage, influence and partner with employees and leaders to provide operational support across the employee lifecycle.
This role requires you to work closely with the Head of People & Culture, supporting our growing Class Actions team. You’ll also have the opportunity to support other leaders within the business to facilitate their people objectives via understanding their needs, and then assisting them to operationally execute on those. You’ll field enquiries, provide advice where needed, and interpret and apply our human resource policies. You’ll assist with contracts and interpreting awards, and coach leaders on how to address performance and conduct concerns.
You’ll support the broader HR team with day-to-day employee lifecycle processes, whilst playing a role in the delivery of people initiatives, including our remuneration and recognition framework, performance reviews, and assist to drive employee engagement.
Your personable, friendly nature will ensure that our people feel supported in their journey, whilst establishing key skills for their success at Shine and providing guidance on complex issues. And you’ll have the opportunity to help influence across all areas of the firm, implement HR strategy and act as a point of contact and partner to leaders.
What you’ll bring. To thrive in this role, you’ll have:
- Demonstrated success in an Advisor role, ideally in a professional services environment.
- Proficient knowledge and practical application of current HR and ER principles, trends and frameworks.
- Intermediate Excel skills, with exposure to iChris or ELMO a bonus.
- Strong ability to multitask, manage and prioritise multiple stakeholders, requests and initiatives simultaneously.
- A focus on client service.
- Excellent written communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience and skills in research, development, implementation and supporting transformation and change processes.
- Experience and skills in creating and or supporting key reporting needs.
- A team-focused mindset along with the capability of being. autonomous – our team are collaborative and will love working closely with you, but you will have loads of autonomy, too!
