About the Opportunity
No two days will be the same in this exciting newly created role where you will contribute to and support the business strategic plan of the Australian Business. Responsibilities will include:
- Preserving and enhancing employer - employee relations, including investigations where required
- Supporting recruitment and selection solutions to meet workforce demands
- Monitoring compliance to Group policies and employment laws
- Providing specialist advice and support to management
- Assist in Change Management programs
- Oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle (employee contracts, employee on-boarding and exit processes)
- Prepare new employees by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs
- Implementation of HR policies and processes
- Support Integration activities following a recent business acquisition with the onboarding of 200 new teammates
- Tertiary qualifications in appropriate business related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar generalist role in a HR function – preferably in a manufacturing or industrial business
- Previous experience using an integrated Human Resource information systems – eg Success Factors or similar HRIS
- A thorough understanding of statutory obligations in relation to HR
- The ability to negotiate and influence well at all levels of the Business
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A High level of integrity, objectivity and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Well developed analytical skills & intellectual curiosity
