About the role:
Scenic Rim Regional Council are looking for an experienced Human Resources Advisor to provide timely and accurate generalist human resource advice and support across Council. The position will be responsible for an operational portfolio in which the successful candidate will look after the full employee lifecycle, industrial relations queries, performance management, employee investigations, and discipline and employee engagement activities.
Key responsibilities:
- Administer employment lifecycle processes including evaluation of position descriptions, advertising vacancies, managing inboxes, coordinating selection processes, employment screening, offers of employment, onboarding, probation, higher duties, and secondment and cessation activities.
- Provide advice and guidance on industrial relations matters, including interpretation of legislation, awards, certified agreements, and policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up to date records, personnel files, and HR information.
- Support management and employees with complex employment and performance matters.
- Case management of HR related grievances and complaints, including investigations, identification of systemic issues, preparing and/or reviewing preliminary assessments, investigation reports and providing recommendations.
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management, Employment Relations, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in an HR Generalist role.
- Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and industrial instruments.
- Experience conducting and supporting workplace investigations and managing workplace grievances processes.
- Ability to source and problem solve precedence and guidelines, and exercise sound judgment.

- Base salary $83,969.58 to $87,470.14 + up to 13% superannuation
