Trusted by thousands of families, we work together to spark curious, creative and confident children through our 40+ high quality Early Childhood Education and Care kindergartens, preschools and childcare centres across Melbourne.
In a redesigned People & Culture Team, you will be responsible for the provision of highly effective HR knowledge leadership, coaching and support to the management team across all people aspects both strategic and operational. In this role you will also:
- Act as a point of escalation for complex IR matters and support the ongoing development of employee relations best practices
- Be part of the People & Culture Team and be responsible for continuing to develop a positive organisational culture, aligned to our values and which fosters accountability, innovation and continuous improvement
- Work closely with the People & Culture Team and other leaders on organisational-wide initiatives
- Establish and embed key employment lifecycle functions
What you will need to succeed
To be successful with Sparkways you will be a passionate team player who enjoys stakeholder engagement and confident handling of IR matters. We’re looking for individuals with:
- Solid understanding of industrial legislation and ability to manage end to end IR issues
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage key HR functions with sound knowledge of contemporary HR practices
- Ability to establish productive working relationships at all levels of an organisation and with key external stakeholders
- Strong communication skills with a proven ability to positively influence through effective mediation, facilitation and negotiation
- An approach to work that is flexible and able to embrace and respond effectively to change
- Previous experience in the early childhood sector and knowledge of Employment Hero would be advantageous
