The Opportunity
As part of a team expansion we are currently recruiting for multiple Human Resource Generalist/Advisors based in our WA Head office in Belmont. Reporting to the People Services Business Partner, you will provide support and assistance to St John WA management and employees in relation to a wide range of People matters. This role is ideal for someone who has a passion for Human Resources and enjoys working with a variety of stakeholders in a collaborative and fast-paced team.
What your day will look like:
Partnering with the business to deliver a consultative generalist service to line management and employees in relation to a range of Human Resources matters, including interpretation of relevant employee agreements/awards, policies, procedures and legislation and contract development.
Assist with case management including, but not limited to performance management, workplace conflict, misconduct and grievances.
Support policy and procedure development, compliance and improvement.
Develop and deliver training and presentations to employees and management as required.
Maintain people records and ensure the standard of documentation and associated processes are accessible in appropriate formats.
What you’ll need:
Proven Human Resources experience in a multi-disciplinary environment.
Knowledge and demonstrated ability to interpret and provide advice relating to employment contracts, awards/agreements and Human Resources/industrial relations legislation.
Demonstrated capacity to build positive working relationships and communicate at all levels across a diverse demographic of stakeholders that ensures successful outcomes.
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify continuous improvement initiatives
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources management (desirable)
The ability to travel throughout Western Australia on an ad hoc, short term basis as required (occasionally this may also include an overnight stay)
