They are looking for a full time Human Resource Lead, based in their Hervey Bay Office (some travel to Maryborough), to provide effective and comprehensive advice on human resource matters; including interpretations of legislation / awards / agreements / policies and performance management to staff and management as well as supporting and leading a cohesive team culture aligned to the values.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and advise on the HR risks to the organisation and ensure compliance with the Fair Work Act, Employer legislative obligations, SCHADS and other applicable awards and keeping abreast of any legislative changes
- Build and maintain relationships with staff and management that result in being a trusted advisor whose knowledge, advice and support is highly sought after and valued, including coaching and advice on best practice to managers and interpretation of and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Coordination and facilitation of performance reviews.
- Assist in the identification and resolution of workplace grievances.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process including updating and creating position descriptions, development of job advertisements, and assisting with candidate interviews as required.
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new employees including preparation and return of pre-employment documentation and mandatory training sessions ensuring all documentation, qualifications and licences are returned prior to any new team member commencing ensuring compliance with pre-employment checklists, onboarding, orientation and preparation of employment contracts.
- Contribute to the review and maintenance of Human Resource Management policies and procedures.
- Coordinate the exit process for employees including liaising with payroll and IT, completion of exit interviews and required notice periods.
- Responsible for monitoring review dates for probationary reviews and annual reviews on behalf of Leaders.
- Actively contribute to an inclusive and supportive Life Choice culture by sharing knowledge and skills and supporting colleagues and the organisation at all times where staff feel engaged and valued.
- Social media management in conjunction with external support partner.
- Staff/participant marketing/event organisation including but not limited to bookings, promotional material design/creation, newsletters and where applicable attendance to events and networking.
Essential:
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or related field and/or demonstrated combination of relevant experience and training.
- Demonstrated relevant experience in the area of recruitment and selection.
- Excellent knowledge of Legislation pertaining to employment relations.
- Very good written and oral communication skills and the ability to negotiate and build relationships with a range of people while demonstrating time management, sound computing skills across the range of Microsoft products and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated excellent people skills and a commitment to customer service.
