About the Role
The purpose of the role is to support fleet management, overseeing IT stores, hardware deployment and ensuring proper disposal practices. The role aims to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness by actively replacing end-of-life equipment, maintaining an accurate inventory, monitoring asset performance, and aligning with the overarching ICT Asset Management strategy

Duties
It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as an ICT Asset Management and Lifecycle Specialist, you will:
- Support the planning and coordinate the delivery of new and replacement ICT assets in alignment with the ICT Asset Management strategy.
- Undertake deployment and installation of hardware and software, ensuring proper configuration, adherence to security protocols and a positive customer experience.
- Ensure assets are fit for purpose, supported and sustainable through the management of asset lifecycles.
- Generate reports on asset utilisation, compliance, and other key performance indicators to support decision-making processes.
- Support the procurement process for ICT assets, ensuring compliance with icare policies.
- Contribute to maintaining data quality in the asset inventory and stock rooms for ICT assets.
- Carrying out audits to reconcile physical and recorded assets, identify discrepancies and taking corrective actions.
Your story so far:
- Demonstrated experience upgrading or replacing existing computer hardware within an organization.
- Experience with Windows operating systems and deployment tools, such as Microsoft SCCM.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to collaborate with other IT Teams to resolve issues.
- Organizational skills to plan and coordinate activities along with strong time management skill to ensure successful delivery of objectives.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders including customers and vendors.
- Capable of providing basic user training on common IT tasks and tools to customers and other stakeholders.
- Experience in asset discovery tools and ITOM systems.
- High proficiency in organisational skills.
