As our Executive Manager of Investment Strategy & Internal Asset Management, you'll spearhead the design and execution of the Strategic Asset Allocation portfolio. This entails striking the perfect balance between return on investment, maintaining a healthy balance sheet, and achieving capital expense objectives.
Additionally, you'll oversee the continuous enhancement of Internal Asset Management, which includes Treasury services. Your role will involve providing strategic guidance on the optimal blend of internal and external Asset Management and execution, taking into account internal synergies within IAG and strategic priorities.
Furthermore, you'll serve as the second-in-command to the Chief Investment Officer (CIO), actively contributing to the development, implementation, and alignment of business-wide strategies.The ideal candidate for this role will be based in Sydney.Applications close Monday 27 May 23.59 AEST.ABOUT YOU
- Demonstrated industry-recognized expertise in developing market-best practices for Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA), Asset Liability Management (ALM), and hedging approaches
- Proven track record in balance sheet, capital, and liquidity management
- Extensive experience in applying advanced mathematical techniques to risk management and SAA development
- Proven ability to define and implement the optimal mix between internal and external Asset Management
- Strong background in Asset Management, with preference for successful P&L management and adherence to global and local risk limits in banking
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing investment professionals
- Proficiency across a wide range of asset classes in both banking and trading books
- Ability to represent non-mark-to-market risk impacts and develop risk-adjusted benchmarking strategies
- Preferably AFMA accredited trader
- Tertiary qualifications in Applied Finance or related field
