The Role:
The ICT Coordinator oversees our organisation's information and communication technology systems in collaboration with our Managed Service Provider. You will execute upon the day-to-day operations of our IT infrastructure, ensuring its efficiency, reliability, and security. Additionally, the ICT Coordinator will collaborate with various departments to identify and address their technology needs, implement new systems and processes in collaboration with our Managed Service Provider, and provide technical support and training to staff members.
Roster:
The position is offered on a Monday to Friday roster based at our Gold Coast Office with travel to our Vulcan Mine Complex near Dysart in Central Queensland.
Duties will include:
- Manage and maintain the organisation's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and telecommunications systems in collaboration with our Managed Services Provider.
- Conduct stakeholder regular stakeholder engagement for the purposes of needs analysis and technology strategy development.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, workstations, routers, switches, and other IT equipment, including provision of Desktop Support for all team members
- Ensure the security of the organisation's data and systems by adhering to and championing cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and access controls as determined by our Managed Services Provider
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to staff members, resolving IT-related issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Collaborate with department heads to assess their technology needs and develop solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency
- Be the conduit between our Managed Services Provider and the organisation on all IT projects, ensuring all progress is communicated both ways and assist in project deliverables to keep the projects on track
- Assist and facilitate training sessions and workshops to educate staff members on IT systems and processes
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers
Stay informed about emerging trends and developments in information and communication technology, recommending strategies for leveraging new technologies to improve business operations
About the Candidate:
Ideally you will hold Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field, along with:
• Experience in a similar role;
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills;
• Experience in the mining industry will be well regarded;
• Willingness to travel.
