ICT Project Officer
Join an established government agency as they are looking to bring on a new ICT Project Officer to join their amazing organisation and project team. You will be in the office 3 days a week in the heart of Melbourne CBD. This will be a 12 month contract with a high chance of extension working within the organisations hybrid working model.
Accountabilities
- Provide a range of project management and support services, including preparation of reports and briefs, coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation and implementing and monitoring project plans, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope, in line with established agency project management methodology.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation for reporting, monitoring and evaluation purposes to ensure accessibility of quality information and contribute to the achievement of project outcomes.
- Source, collate and compile data and information to identify emerging issues and risks as well as track and report on project progress against established milestones and deliverables.
- Communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committees and consultations to facilitate exchange of information and support project completion in line with project plans.
- Provide support in scheduling of meetings with preparation of presentations and agendas, acting as secretariate, and facilitating follow up actions.
- Assist in providing support in the preparation and presentation of reports, governance and board papers, ministerial briefs, on project related matters.
- Maintain positive relationships with the project team, consultants, and stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
- Keep accurate and complete records based on the Project Methodology Framework to ensure Quality assurance is managed.
- Proofread and process written advice, briefs and correspondence in an accurate and timely manner.
- Effectively manage records (including sensitive and confidential matters) to meet department document control guidelines.
Essential Experience Requirements
- Experience providing project support to Project Managers and senior staff on a major system implementation project
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Project Officer supporting complexed projects
- Experience updating & maintaining MS project schedules to continually track project progress.
- Experience identifying, mitigating, and managing project risks.
- Experience managing project budgets & forecasts
- Experience in project status reporting to the Executive Leadership Team.
- Advanced MS Office skills, including MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
