In this diverse and busy role, your responsibilities will include to:
- Manage, support, improve, and ensure the stability of System Technologies using key Microsoft and related technologies;
- Deliver industry leading technology solutions to our Clients;
- Ensure the continuity, design and installation of new systems as required;
- Support corporate clients with excellent IT support and advice;
- Work across a diverse range of technical services and have the opportunity to develop your skill base;
- Play a role within the team as we plan, prioritise, and respond to our Client’s needs.
This position is ideal for the applicant looking to accelerate their IT career and is best suited to someone looking to progress to the next level. The successful applicant will be closely mentored by the Senior Technology Consultant and the Founder of the company in tandem to advance their knowledge and expertise exponentially.
The successful applicant will either have recently graduated from an IT course, along with recent experience within the workplace, or will already be working with another IT Service Provider. Preference will be given to those with experience in Technology, IT Help Desk or similar support role. It is essential that they possess a keen enthusiasm for all things IT. Recent IT graduates, or those graduating this year, are encouraged to apply.
Some level of technical insight into key technologies such as Hyper-V and VMware Virtualisation, HP Servers, Enterprise Networking, Linux Server Management, Synology & HP Storage Arrays, Microsoft Enterprise software and other related technologies will be considered advantageous.
Day to day responsibilities will consist of providing stability to Client systems whilst managing user expectations and delivery within the Systems space. This position will interface directly with our Clients involving project delivery, Level 2 and 3 support, design and execution of maintenance programs, all while meeting Service Level metrics.
This role will be completed from our office in Port Melbourne, as well as travel to Client site when required. As such, a current Australian Driver’s Licence and suitable, reliable, motor vehicle are required.
Accordingly, work from home opportunities will be extremely limited with this role. Full Covid-19 vaccination,along with the booster shot, are considered requirements for this role.
Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Equally essential is someone willing to invest in themselves.
The applicant must be confident and capable to work independently and also as part of a larger team. The Technology Consultant is expected to be teachable, willing to invest in themselves beyond the workplace, especially early on where the learning curve will be steep.
Furthermore, they are expected to stay current with various technologies, organizational goals and industry trends. The ability to work under pressure and deal with external stresses is important.
