A specialist physician practice located at the Wesley Medical Centre in Auchenflower is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Medical Secretary/receptionist to join their practice in a contract capacity for a 6-8 week placement.
Applicants are required to be available for this role and can start immediately. Work hours will be 9am - 4pm, every Wednesday and Thursday, with the potential to cover additional shifts during the week on an as-needs basis.
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Diary management and patient bookings
- Invoicing and receipting of all patient accounts
- Medicare and DVA batching
- Answering all incoming phone calls and emails
- Filing and general management of patient archives
- Stocking surgery supplies
- Basic office cleaning duties
Key Selection Criteria:
- Previous experience as a Medical Secretary/receptionist
- Enjoys working independently and in a practice which may have some quiet periods during the week
- Ability to adapt to varied software programs (Experience with Bluechip & Medical Director Clinical software programs is highly desirable).
- Medium to high level IT skills
- Excellent phone manner and patient rapport
- Reliable and has the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
