Queensland Pelvic Floor Services is a renowned urogynaecology specialist practice committed to providing exceptional care to women dealing with pelvic floor disorders and related conditions.  Led by a team of experienced Urogynaecologists, our private practice located at Greenslopes Private Hospital offers comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services in a compassionate and supportive environment. 

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our urogynaecology specialist practice. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations at the front desk, providing exceptional customer service to our patients, and supporting our clinical team. This position requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and empathy towards patients dealing with sensitive medical issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients warmly and ensure a welcoming atmosphere in the practice.
  • Schedule appointments for consultations, follow-ups, and procedures.
  • Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and obtain necessary authorisations.
  • Collect payments, and assist with billing inquiries.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and triage messages appropriately.
  • Maintain patient records accurately and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, data entry, typing and sterilising. 
  • Collaborate closely with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and continuity of care.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a medical receptionist role, preferably in a specialty practice such as urogynaecology, gynaecology or urology is a plus. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate approach towards patients
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Genie practice management software, Microsoft Office suite and Olympus Dictation Software. 
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Understanding of medical terminology.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
