Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our urogynaecology specialist practice. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations at the front desk, providing exceptional customer service to our patients, and supporting our clinical team. This position requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and empathy towards patients dealing with sensitive medical issues.
Responsibilities:

- Greet patients warmly and ensure a welcoming atmosphere in the practice.
- Schedule appointments for consultations, follow-ups, and procedures.
- Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and obtain necessary authorisations.
- Collect payments, and assist with billing inquiries.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and triage messages appropriately.
- Maintain patient records accurately and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, data entry, typing and sterilising.
- Collaborate closely with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and continuity of care.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a medical receptionist role, preferably in a specialty practice such as urogynaecology, gynaecology or urology is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate approach towards patients
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Genie practice management software, Microsoft Office suite and Olympus Dictation Software.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of medical terminology.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
