AddressEagle Sports is a National importer and distributor of sporting goods with offices in Melbourne and Perth. It is a long-standing, family business with a friendly and supportive workplace.
We're looking for a reliable, self-motivated person with proven experience in purchasing and import-focussed roles to join our team in our Melbourne office. This is a full time permanent position.
The duties will include but are not limited to:
- Maintaining strong working relationships with suppliers, responding to requests and managing the logistics of freight / shipping as required
- Processing purchase orders, follow up and keep track of their status
- Validating invoices against purchase orders and actioning any anomalies with urgency
- Liaising with freight forwarders to arrange shipping
- Checking all shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading and customs clearances for accuracy and completeness
- Setting up and receipt of shipment inventory into Pronto (our ERP) in a timely manner
- Keeping all relevant stakeholders informed of schedules and updating files
To be considered for this position, we are seeking applicants who have the following attributes:
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential
- Great time management and organisation – able to manage multiple priorities at the same time
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers for whom English is not their first language
- Experience in purchasing and import-focussed roles for high volume, diverse product inventory
- Experience with import documentation and Customs clearance processes
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel)
- Experience with Pronto software highly desirable
- Interest in sport and a wide knowledge of sporting equipment
