ABOUT THE ROLE
Import Operations handling sea freight and airfreight (when required), working within a tight-knit team. Working on Cargowise1, the role will focus on the registrations, and document chasing with some customer interaction. This role will see the right candidate cross-trained in all aspects of Import Operations. Once settled, the successful operator will take control of a dedicated trade lane.
DUTIES
- Follow-up on missing documents from shippers, agents, and local clients
- Registration of import sea and airfreight (when required) files into the operating systems, send sea cargo and under bonds
- Ensure shipment files are passed onto Customs and Transport complete and on time
- Arrange cartage with transport providers (when required)
- Provide status updates to a portfolio of clients
- 3+ years minimum experience in a freight forwarding team
- Previous experience dealing directly with clients
- Exposure to working in a team environment
- Further education within International Logistics or Supply Chain is a bonus
- Knowledge of Cargowise1 is a must
