Reporting to the General Manager -Finance and Legal you will be part of the in-house legal team providing internal advice and managing legal and compliance activities.
The Role
- Draft, review, and negotiate contractual agreements and other legal documents.
- Analyse, interpret, and apply legislation and assist the business to navigate regulatory frameworks.
- Provide timely legal advice on contracts, litigation, governance, compliance, risk management, and intellectual property matters.
- Assist with representing the organisation in tribunal and court proceedings.
Your experience
- Ideal candidate will have experience in commercial law and litigation.
- Minimum of 3 years' post admission experience.
- Has experience and exposure to navigating legal frameworks such as the Australian Consumer Law and the Franchise Code of Conduct.
- Be a team player with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Has a passion for legal compliance, energy and a 'can do' attitude to support other teams across the business.
