Working as part of the Digital Transformation Program in the Customer and Strategy division, the Independent Advisor will serve as a crucial non- voting member of the Program Control Board (PCB) overseeing the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation for TechnologyOne. Their primary objective is to provide expert guidance, strategic insights, and impartial advice to ensure the successful execution of the EPR implementation project to de-risk the program.
What you’ll be doing:
- Offer strategic direction and advice to the PCB regarding the EPR implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives are optimised.
- Identify potential risks and challenges associated with the project, providing proactive mitigation strategies and risk assessment frameworks.
- Monitor project milestones, deliverables, and performance metrics to ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders, facilitating transparent discussions and resolving conflicts when necessary.
- Provide expert insights and recommendations on technical aspects, industry best practices, and emerging trends related to EPR implementations.
- Review project governance structures, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Assist the PCB in making informed decisions by conducting thorough analysis, evaluating alternatives, and weighing potential risks and benefits.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency enhancements, and lessons learned to drive continuous improvement initiatives within the project.
- Review Project Control Board and Project information prior to PCB meeting and supply monthly report and briefing on findings.
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role:
- You’ll be a seasoned delivery professional with enterprise EPR implementation experience, demonstrating a deep understanding of project complexities and nuances.
- Proven ability to offer strategic guidance and advisory services to senior management and project stakeholders, navigating challenges with finesse.
- Comprehensive knowledge of ERP systems, data migration, project management methodologies, and industry best practices, acquired through years of practical experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and recommendations clearly and effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling the synthesis of information from diverse sources to develop actionable insights.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, relationship management, and conflict resolution within complex project environments.
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and governance frameworks applicable to EPR implementations, Data Governance and Cloud Migrations.
- Cross-Cultural Competence: Experience working in multicultural environments and sensitivity to cultural differences, fostering inclusivity and effective communication across diverse teams.
- Change Management Expertise: Experience in change management principles and methodologies to facilitate smooth transitions and adoption of new processes and technologies.
- Project Governance Expertise: Familiarity with project governance principles, frameworks, and tools to ensure effective oversight, control, and accountability in project execution.
