About Bremer State High School
Bremer State High School acknowledges Australia's First Peoples, in particular the Jagera, Yuggera and Ugarapul people, on whose land we meet. Bremer has an enrolment of over 2000 students, of whom 14% identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. Our team has maintained an ongoing focus on improving Indigenous students' outcomes. This has been achieved through a broad range of initiatives, including the development of Dirrimyani, our Indigenous Education Hub, Support Team and our Literacy & Numeracy Access Hub.
About the Role
All Indigenous students are offered a range of cultural, sporting, academic and life skill programs. Some of these programs are organised by the school internally, whilst others involve a range of external providers, partnerships and Elder participation:
- Didgeridoo Program
- Tiddas Girls Program
- Indigenous Dance Troupe
- QATSIF Scholarship Program
- Deadly Choices Education Program
- Diamond Spirit Girls Program
- Beyond the Broncos Girls Academy
- We are currently in the process of developing the schools' Reconciliation Action Plan and staff are supported to utilise the Cultural Capability Framework.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- A wide community connection network and be able to involve all community members into cultural activities.
- Be hard working and team orientated.
