Indigenous Development Coordinator – Echuca (Part-Time Position)Excellent salary package + superannuation + not-for-profit salary packaging (optimise your net pay with access up to $15,900 tax savings!)In a typical week in this job, you are likely to do the following things:Inform local Community on CVGT employment services and available supports and to match CVGTs services to the needs of First Nations people.Support First Nations participants to fulfil their goals of employment and education pathways.Make recommendations on CVGT service delivery to better enable Aboriginal communities access employment and employment related services.Facilitate and maintain communication with Aboriginal communities and relevant organisations and attend key interagency meetings.Supporting CVGTs operations team through regular contact, and liaison between Community and support services to maximise employment opportunities.Who we’re looking for to join our teamSomeone who has an excellent understanding of Indigenous Australian cultures and the issues affecting First Nations people in contemporary Australian society and the diversity of circumstances of Indigenous Australians, particularly in relation to employment.A strong understanding of cultural differenceExperience in community services or relevant experienceDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a small multi-disciplinary team to deliver a high standard of service.Excellent time management and prioritising abilities.Proficient in Microsoft suite of package.High level of communication skills, both written and verbal with high levels of confidentialityAre you looking for a rewarding career?Our vision at CVGT Employment is opening doors – creating amazing futures for the communities in which we operate.
