Location – Caringbah NSW
Salary – the successful applicant will enjoy a salary negotiated in the range $70k to $80k plus superannuation per annum
Responsibilities of this exciting role will include
- Consulting with clients to understand design requirements;
- Research how a specific product might be used and who the target users are;
- Sketching ideas and creating renderings help visualize design concepts;
- Using best practice tools, develop virtual models of different designs.
- With the team, craft physical prototypes to test and refine ideas
- evaluate materials, production costs, safety, appearance, and functionality.
- At the conclusion, create functional and aesthetically pleasing pieces
To be successfully selected, applicants will offer
- At a minimum, 2 to 3 years professional (post training) experience, preferably more
- A highly relevant university degree or agreed substitute
- Skilled in leading industry software solutions, eg Inventor/ SolidWorks, Adobe products
- CNC machine knowledge (you might be responsible for CAD files to be created for the CNC machine operator’s use)
- CAD/CAM experience
- Highly developed communication skills
- Engaging personality; affable and empathetic
- Unrestricted rights to work full time in Australia
- Verifiable industry references
