Our diverse range of roles and locations mean that we have a unique opportunity to employ dedicated team members from a variety of backgrounds and skill sets.About the roleDue to an internal move, we currently have a fixed-term (10 months) full-time opportunity based at our Mackay Station (Paget), for a forward thinking and motivated Infrastructure Work Scheduler. Your success in this role will be determined by your ability to problem solve and engage with stakeholders effectively.In this role you will be required to assemble a rolling integrated Infrastructure Work and track possession plan for designated corridors of the railway network.Some of your day to day responsibilities include:
- Establish and manage processes for collecting possession plans for the designated railway corridor of responsibility in a rolling plan
- Assist the APC with managing the various plans for Asset Maintenance into a rolling integrated work and track possession schedule for each designated railway corridor of responsibility
- Assemble the integrated corridor possession plans, assist the Asset Planning Co-Ordinator (APC) to level resources and co-ordinate activities to minimize track possession requirements and maximize utilization of track possessions taken
- Collaborate with Asset & Planning strategies and Inventory Management and Logistics to ensure that all logistics and possession plans are integrated for each planned work activity
- Manage the interface with the ViziRail Database (training available) for all maintenance activities in consultation with the Asset Manager and key stakeholders
- High level of skill in planning and scheduling multi-disciplinary asset maintenance work
- High level of skill in the use of project management and scheduling tools including computer software (such as SAP, Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS)
- Substantial communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Substantial skills in analyzing complex issues and inter-relationships
- Sound knowledge of railway infrastructure and operations
