ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an injury Management Specialist to join the passionate team on a Part-Time, Fixed-Term, 12-month contract for a maternity leave cover.
As our Injury Management Specialist, you will be responsible for proactively managing workers compensation claims, end to end, across a national portfolio. You will have the opportunity to make a genuine impact, assisting injured workers in their recovery and early return to meaningful work.
While supported by the Head of Safety, you will have autonomy to drive initiatives and engage with stakeholders that value your contribution.
This is a part-time opportunity, working 3 days per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As our Injury Management Specialist, you will:
- Provide professional and expert support, focusing on the rehabilitation of the employee and early return outcomes
- Engage all stakeholders to provide a seamless and transparent, end-to-end process
- Identify claims with increasing levels of risk and implement strategies for both current and potential liabilities on these claims
- Analyse data to report Injury Management performance and identify claim trends
- Perform all administrative functions of the workers compensation and salary continuance functions
- Implement strategies for effective cost management on claims and premiums
- Work closely with key stakeholders to identify suitable duties and strategies to overcome challenges when returning to the workplace
- Provide ongoing support to monitor the progress of injured workers' recovery and capacity to return to work
- Provide advice and training to managers in the recovery and return to work process
ABOUT YOU
- Demonstrated experience in an organisation overseeing claims and Injury Management, and facilitating return to work, preferably across multiple jurisdiction
- Sound working knowledge of applicable legislation
- Possess a tertiary qualification in Allied Health (OT, Physio, Psychology, or related) would be an advantage
- Passionate about providing exceptional customer service and delivering positive outcomes
- Seeking a team where you can have an impact

- Experience liaising with a broad variety of stakeholders
- Ability to communicate with influence
- Comfortable resolving conflict and negotiating positive outcomes
