About the role

This position will provide strategic advice to the Leadership Team and Council on the management of financial operations.  Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the successful applicant will provide financial advice to the organisation through the effective management of Financial Partnering and Analytics services and, with the team, deliver positive outcomes for both internal and external customers.

Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications 

1. Tertiary qualifications in Accounting with Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) membership, and experience in delivering business partnering services including developing budgets and forecasts to business managers and financial analysis that supports business decision making
2. Ability to lead and manage a team and its functions to achieve outcomes that address current challenges for the IWC and its commitments to the community within plan and budget
3. Demonstrated financial management and budgetary experience
4. Demonstrated experience in providing quality and professional customer service to internal and external stakeholders in a changing financial environment including development and delivery of finance-related training
5. Experience developing financial solutions from outcomes of business process reviews that resulted in substantial efficiency and improvement
