YOUR ROLE
Under the guidance of a visionary leader in the engineering domain, you'll be diving into the heart of greenfield projects, steering the engineering design, and development of cutting-edge Instrumentation & Control systems. - Lead the engineering design and development for an array of projects, from the ground up construction to intricate systems encompassing batch house, furnaces, forming, annealing, and more.
- Craft detailed scope of works and cost estimates that pave the way for groundbreaking projects.
- Play a crucial role in the procurement process, ensuring we equip our team with the best tools and services for success.
- Oversee the supervision, commissioning, and execution of capital works, ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to finish.
- Document and finalize the transformation of plant and equipment, marking your legacy on the engineering landscape.

What You'll Bring to the Table:
- A solid foundation with at least five years of experience in project or plant engineering, particularly within the glass industry or related fields.
- A broad spectrum of skills in Instrumentation & Control engineering, design, installation, and problem-solving.
- Experience in Greenfields Project & Construction Site, from requirements gathering to early phase design.
- Proficiency in modern PLC and SCADA controls, with a knack for designing sizable networked systems.
- A collaborative spirit, able to work seamlessly with contractors and across disciplines.
Qualifications and experience:
- A degree in Instrumentation & Control or Electrical Engineering, Australian recognised for Professional Engineer Membership.
- At least five years' experience in a project or plant engineering role relevant to the glass industry
- Broad based experience in Instrumentation & Control engineering, design, installation, and problem solving.
- Ability to work in well with contractors and with other disciplines in the engineering team and plants.
- Greenfields Project & Construction Site experience
- Requirements gathering
- Early Phase Design experience. Experience writing global scoped general specifications and scopes.
- Electrical and/or Communications Cabling Design Experience
Desirable Extras:
- CPEng, RPEQ, or the ability to attain such qualifications.
- Familiarity with Siemens Step7/TIA Portal, PlantSCADA 2023, and Wonderware Historian.
- A background in cybersecurity, MES systems, or AutoCAD would be a bonus.
