The opportunity
Our Member & Advice division is here to deliver great outcomes for our members. As part of this, the Insurance & Claims team are responsible for facilitating death, terminal illness, and permanent incapacity claims, as well as assisting the underwriting application and administration process on behalf of our members and insurer.
This is a crucial role in continuing our standing as a multiple award-winning fund which is recognised for excellent customer service. At the heart of this is an empathetic and personalised approach, which you will deliver alongside meeting UniSuper’s service and quality standards. You will be part of a close-knit team that balances individual responsibilities with a supportive and collaborative team environment.

About you
Our ideal candidate will have strong claims case management and underwriting experience, the ability to build trusting relationships with members, along with previous experience supporting members with care and empathy.
Some of the other key traits we will be looking for include:
- Experience in death claims management
- Strong communication skills including the ability to simplify the complex
- Great customer service skills with a high degree of empathy and the ability to deal with difficult situations
- Ability to understand, analyse and interpret information with attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage your own workload
- Team player who actively contributes to the overall performance and culture of the team
- A commitment to continuous learning and your own personal development
