We are pleased to announce two exciting opportunities for knowledgeable and experienced leaders to join our team as the Integrated Care Hunter Lower Mid North Coast Service Manager and Integrated Care New England Northwest Service Manager.

The opportunities:

As the Service Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of healthCare Services to the community in a timely and respectful manner. Hunter New England Health (HNEH) provides a comprehensive range of community health services that cater to individuals of all ages, including children, families, young adults, and older people. Our Community Health Services are designed to enhance the health and well-being of individuals by providing generalist and specialised clinical services.

These critical positions require a deep understanding of the healthcare system, coupled with proven experience in leadership and operational management. As the Service Manager, you will be a results-driven, highly motivated individual who is passionate about improving healthcare outcomes and providing the highest quality of care to patients.   • Tertiary qualifications in health-related discipline and/or demonstrated recent frontline service management experience.
  • High level communication skills and demonstrated effective consulting, negotiating, and collaborative skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage conflicts and overcome resistance when initiating and implementing change strategies within a team.
  • Demonstrated innovative problem-solving ability applied to managing conflicting priorities and developing timely recommendations and advice on improvement strategies and solutions.
  • Transformational leadership skills and a demonstrated ability to create enthusiasm and commitment to goals and build a shared sense of direction.
  • Proven understanding of Financial Management, Activity Based Funding (ABF) Workforce, Clinical Governance principles, and Australian Health Care systems and regulations.
  • Demonstrated capability and competence to implement continuous quality improvement in service delivery, including managing change and negotiating with and gaining support from key stakeholders.

 
Where you'll be working:

The Iocation of the Integrated Care Hunter Lower Mid North Coast Service Manager position is negotiable across the Greater Newcastle, Hunter, and Lower Mid North Coast areas. The location of the Integrated Care New England Northwest Service Manager position is negotiable across a range of rural and regional locations including within the Mehi, Peel, and Tablelands sectors.

The roles will involve some travel across our stunning district, with access to a fleet vehicle for work-related travel.
