Position title: Intelligence Support Officer

About the role:
Victoria Police is currently advertising (1) full-time ongoing and (1) fixed-term, Intelligence Support Officer position within North-West Metro Region, Division 2. As the successful applicant, you will be responsible for providing a broad range of administrative support services to members at the Divisional Intelligence Unit - Footscray.

Your duties will include:
* Perform a broad range of office support and computer-based tasks including preparation of reports, general correspondence, keyboard and data entry, spreadsheets, and data base activities.
* Assist in collecting, collating, analysis, and basic evaluation of information in respect to intelligence data and trends.
* Ensure effective delivery of administrative support activities associated within the Division.
* Maintenance of computer-based systems for the recording, collation and dissemination of intelligence reports.
As the successful applicant, you will have:
* Experience in working with computers and various programs with a high attention to detail.
* Good conceptual and research skills with the ability to value add to information and to assist in identification of issues.
* Knowledge of or experience in basic analysis.
* Ability to work autonomously and prioritise work with minimal supervision.
* Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask.
* Good communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
Requirements and relevant information:
* One (1) VPSG-2, full-time, ongoing position available.
* One (1) VPSG-2, full-time, fixed-term for 12 months.
* Position located at the Divisional Intelligence Unit- Footscray Police Complex, 66 Hyde Street, Footscray, Vic. While this position has a nominated usual place of work, the position may be required to work at other locations, in accordance with the provisions of the relevant Victorian Public Service Agreement.
* Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or Visa.
* The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
