Job Description:
The Intermediate Accountant role at Navwealth is a pivotal position involving accounting and taxation advisory services for a diverse range of clients, including SMEs, high-net-worth individuals, and trusts. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with complex regulatory obligations and provide expert financial guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare tax returns and financial statements for companies, partnerships, trusts, and individuals.
- Calculate CGT (Capital Gains Tax) and FBT (Fringe Benefits Tax) for clients.
- Handle quarterly BAS (Business Activity Statements) and IAS (Instalment Activity Statements).
- Conduct reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Communicate with clients in a timely and professional manner.
- Research technical issues as required to provide informed advice.
Skills and Personal Attributes:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Tax/Business Services Accounting.
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce/Business majoring in Accounting.
- Completion or undertaking of the CA/CPA program preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities effectively.
- Experience with Xero, MYOB, and Class Super is desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction.
- Positive, helpful, and solution-driven mindset with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to manage a client portfolio within a boutique firm environment.
- Highly motivated and committed to delivering exceptional results.
