Our client is one of Australia’s largest wholesalers of Industrial Products having warehouses and distribution centers in every state of Australia with 400+ employees. Our client has a huge range of over 30,000 products which covers;

Due to a large increase in client orders, they are seeking several Internal Sales Representative to carry out a wide range of responsibilities based at their Karratha branch.
The Role
You will be focusing on Customer Service to a wide range of clients across all industry sectors especially mining and oil and gas due to the location of the branch in Karratha.
As an Internal Sales Representative you will conducting numerous responsibilities which include;
- Processing Orders: Inputting clients order data onto the system such as Purchase Order Numbers through to Products, Quantities & Delivery Details
- Creating / Updating Client Accounts: Creating or updating existing accounts on the system
- Checking Stock Availability: If the requested items are in stock and available for shipping or are unavailable
- Back Orders: For items that are not in stock, creating a “Back Orders” of the particular product & getting information on expected arrival dates
- Special Orders: Non Stocked Items & contacting suppliers for availability & pricing
- Sales Quotes: Creating quotations that include costs of products, discounts & delivery charges. Also following up on submitted quotes
- Customer Service: Receiving / Contacting clients across a wide range of areas such as updating clients on delivery dates through clients not receiving specific items in their order
- Sales: Can cover scenarios such as when an item is not in stock, providing options of alternative products that are available through to providing technical info on products
- Procurement & Sourcing Products: If a client requests a product that is not supplied by our client, Reps can source the product from 3rd parties
- Liaising with Inhouse Team Members: Liaising with Sales Team Members through to Warehouse, Logistics & Accounts relating to client requests or info such as if orders have been dispatched through to when products on Back Order may be arriving
As an Internal Sales Rep, you will be working in a fast paced work environment where you will conducting numerous responsibilities daily. Prioritizing work tasks is essential as one minute you maybe inputting an order onto the system, where you will receive a call from a client requesting a non stocked item urgently and you have drop everything and get onto the web to identify potential suppliers and get information from them across product specifications, price and availability and then secure the product, process the order and arrange a special delivery.
Customer Service and Sales are the main priority where Internal Sales Reps have to think on their feet and use initiative regularly to get sales over the line, such as providing clients with alternative products when requested items are not in stock, through to promptly getting back to clients on requests such as stock availability, quotes or special orders.
Working Days & Hours
- Working Days: Monday to Friday (No Weekends)
- Working Hours: 38 to 40 Per Week
- Start Times: Between 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM
- Finnish Times: Between 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM
- Location: Karratha
- Parking: Ample Free Parking on site
The Candidate
Candidates that have worked as an Internal Sales Representative or in a similar role especially in Industrial Products are high on our list. Candidates that do not possess experience as an Internal Sales Representative but have transferable skills such as those that have worked in administration, customer service or sales are encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate must have the following skills and attributes in order to carry out their responsibilities efficiently and effectively, which include;
- Reside in Karratha & desire long term permanent work
- Advanced Computer Skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Be focused on Customer Service, providing a professional, friendly and comprehensive service to clients
- Be Sales focused who enjoys getting sales over the line
- Exceptional Communication Skills – Written & Verbal
- Highly Organized with the ability to quickly priorities work tasks regularly
- Possess Initiative & good Problem Solving skills
- Have proficiency and accuracy in data entry
- Have Attention to Detail and be able to follow strict systems and procedures
- Be highly efficient and be able to work under tight deadlines
- Be able to learn new software / programs quickly
Remuneration
This is a permanent role where the successful candidate will be employed directly with our client and receive standard employee leave entitlements.
Career Advancement & Increases in Salary: There are regular opportunities for career advancement and promotion through to increases in salary. Candidates that may start on the lower end of the salary scale as they do not have experience as an Internal Sales Rep and require training, maybe offered increases in salary once they have proved they can carry out the job functions efficiently and effectively and have displayed a strong work ethic.
Depending on your work experience, administration skills, sales skills and attributes the salary range will be between;
- $70,000 to $80,000
- + Super
- + Leave Entitlements (Holiday & Sick Leave)
