Join the team
We have a brilliant opportunity for an Inventory Analyst to join our high performing and dynamic team. This role is based at our National Office in Mulgrave and reports to the Inventory Manager.
The Inventory Analyst is responsible for the end-to-end management of merchandise to optimise availability and inventory holdings in Distribution Centres and Stores.
This is an exciting time to join our highly regarded Inventory team as we really transform the way we do things and have the right product, in the right place at the right time – making everyday living brighter for our customers!

Please note this is a 10 month fixed term contract.
What you’ll be doing
As an Inventory Analyst working for Kmart you will:
• Implementing action plans by undertaking regular and proactive analysis of merchandise performance to maximise the departments the departments financial outcomes
• Ensuring system parameters and capabilities are analysed and managed effectively to drive optimal state and store inventory levels
• Build inventory management strategies that are in line with Kmart overall business strategies and goals
• Review and maintain forward stock projections to execute weekly ordering to meet demand needs
• Collaborating and building strong working relationships with key stakeholders including
• Drive DIFOT supplier improvements
• Analysing reporting and drive data driven commercial outcomes
To be successful in this role you’ll have:
• Demonstrated skills in data analysis and reporting
• Strong Excel and Power Bi skills
• Experience within retail, wholesale or manufacturing
• Effective and concise communication skills
• Ability to present analysis and insights to stakeholders/clients
• Excellent communication skills and empathy in dealing with technical and non-technical customers
• Bachelor's degree or relevant qualification or equivalent work experience
