We are currently accepting applications for a part-time Inventory Assistant to work onsite in our Caringbah head office within our Shimano Australia Fishing team.
Reporting to the Inventory & Purchasing Manager, the primary objectives of this role include but are not limited to:
- Setting up of purchase orders and ensuring that purchase orders are correctly maintained whilst in Pronto ERP
- Data entry Shipment invoices into Pronto
- Liaise directly with freight forwarder & customs broker to ensure DIFOT import shipments
- Keep track of all incoming shipments and allocating associated charges
- Maintaining Inventory records and items stored within the warehouse (includes warehouse product data collection includingallocation of barcodes, accurate interpretation, compilation, and entering data into the computer system).
- Register new products in system and maintain constant update of product data
- Processing Supplier Invoicing including checking of freight costs for shipments
- Month end invoice processing
- Assist spares department in managing pronto data, purchase orders and incoming shipments
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience in freight forwarding, warehouse operations or logistics
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- High level computer literacy and confident using Microsoft Excel, with a minimum typing speed of 30wpm
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
- Confident in data analysis and interpretation
- Proficient in collaborating cross-functionally to deliver analytical outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively within a busy team
- Prior knowledge of Pronto ERP (highly regarded)
