Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Purchasing & Inventory Assistant at our distribution center. The Purchasing & Inventory Assistant will play a critical role in supporting the buying team by assisting in purchasing decisions, inventory management, and vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the procurement manager with respect to purchasing and procurement activities.
- Check supplier order confirmations against purchase orders.
- Monitor inventory levels and work closely with the buying team to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Update/Create purchase orders in line with business requirements and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.
- Assist in resolving any issues related to product quality, delivery delays, or discrepancies.
- Liaise with sales and marketing team to fulfil procurement activities.
- Update & maintain vendor records including pricing.
- Assist with project work as required.
