The Opportunity
Visy Logistics, part of the wider Visy Group, provides Australian freight services with comprehensive and competitive road, rail and domestic sea freight, intermodal and 3PL capabilities. As an Inventory Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining accurate inventory records. You will be responsible for overseeing the inventory control process, ensuring the availability of products, minimizing stock discrepancies, and optimizing inventory turnover.
The Role
Reporting to the State Logistics Manager and based at Penrith, NSW, you will be responsible for the end-to-end stock control across the Visy glass business. Your role will focus on service delivery excellence, safety and compliance, and productivity of the operation.
The main responsibilities of the role will include:
- Monitoring Inbound & Outbound pallet movements
- Stock Order Transfers
- End Of month stocktakes & reconciliations.
- Aged Ware, FIFO Management & Reporting
- Quality Control & Batch Management
- Investigation & Reporting of damaged/collapsed pallets
What you will bring to succeed:
- Previous experience in inventory control or related roles within a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, processes, and best practices.
- Proficient in using SAP WMS system.
- Familiarity with COR & Load Restraint
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Solid understanding of supply chain and logistics operations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
