About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced inventory superstar to join our Gordonvale team as a Inventory Performance Coordinator.
This role will not only focus on customer service it will take lead with suppliers and the purchasing department to help grow the business and is ultimately responsible for all aspects of inventory management. You will assist with planning, implementing promotions, merchandising, marketing activities, management of stock and have a high focus on customer service. The opportunity for ongoing training and development to improve your skills and the chance to work in different areas of the store whilst pursuing growth and learning on a daily basis.

Responsibilities will includePrior experience with hardware, or within the building industry is advantageous. We require someone who is willing to contribute positively to a team environment to assist to maximise sales, along with providing an outstanding customer experience. The role is well suited to someone with confidence who enjoys working with people.
- Implement processes to reduce out of stocks and overstocks across the branch including coordinate supplier backorder policy
- Maintain stock storage areas in a manner to ensure re-order reports can be completed accurately
- Ensure relevant reports, such as outstanding purchase order report, are completed and actioned within Company guidelines
- Work with other departments, such as goods inwards, to identify items which cannot be scanned at point of sale, and take relevant action to enable scanning
- Implement strategies to protect inventory value by reducing theft and wastage
- Assist the Purchasing and Marketing Teams with planning and implementing promotional activities
- Undertake regular product training with market leading brands
- Assist with stocktake preparation by ensuring stock display areas and reserve stock areas are neat and tidy in a manner to allow easy identification and counting of stock
- Follow the agreed processes to manage and maintain the pricing files and schedules Engage in supplier communications in conjunction with the purchasing department
- Establish and build internal customer relationships – working closely with the Branch Manager
- Extensive customer service including sales, orders & quotes
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Exceptional attention to detail coupled with high level of accuracy
- Proven ability to follow agreed plans, systems and processes
- Computer literacy and strong numeracy skills
- Must be results driven and be able to engage with others
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work
- Ability to cross sell product ranges to builders for a one stop shop approach
- Demonstrated experience in managing inventory and associated processes
- Genuine commitment to Safety and Company values
- Physically fit with the ability to safely lift loads and manually handle goods
- Manual Vehicle Licence
- Forklift Licence (LF) Advantageous
