Currently we are seeking a full-time, Inventory Manager to lead our VIC inventory team based at our Truganina Depot.
The Role:
The primary function of this role is to plan, execute and report on all aspects of inventory management to maintain optimum warehouse usage, efficiencies, and inventory accuracy, driven through positive leadership and coaching. This is a hands on position, requiring autonomy.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Lead, coach, mentor and develop the inventory team.
- Liaise with clients and internal teams with regards to inventory escalation requests and investigate plus resolve discrepancies
- Ensure FIFO turnover of goods for all SKU’s within the warehouse. Observe / maintain FIFO methodology as per client agreement.
- Govern adherence within your team on all inventory related processes and reporting deadlines.
- Maintain / Monitor / Update all Inventory Processes and Best Practices
- Provide corrective actions and feedback to Operations on Process Anomalies or Non-Compliance leading to inventory accuracy issues.
- Provide support and resolution around reported inventory issues such as stock discrepancies.
- Manage scheduled stock takes and cycle counts in line with customer expectations including ad-hoc stock checks and cycle counts.
- Oversee and direct where appropriate all Rework activities.
- Ensure accuracy of all Goods Received Receipts as per client expectations.
- Perform critical inventory tasks to ensure the correct number of items are in stock.
- Work with CX Teams to review and report on Stock Order Issues where order demand cannot be met due to the absence of expected inventory.
- Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts.
- Review documentation and monitor product codes to search for discrepancies; troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records.
- Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures to maximize efficiency and cut operations costs.
About you:
We are looking for someone who will take initiative and lead the inventory team to meet all targets and objectives through effective leadership. With a demonstrated background in inventory management, you will be able to effectively manage this function and report regularly to the Client Inventory Manager on progress.

Critical Education, Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience in inventory management environment
- Intermediate to advanced Excel reporting and analysis
- Has led a team, minimum of 3 people including direct reports.
