Qualifications & experience
- Any qualifications in Purchasing, Procurement , Supply Chains or Logistics an advantage.
- 2 or more years experience in purchasing.
- Strong computer skills and adaptability to software applications.
- Good communication skills and ability to communicate with suppliers, customers and co workers with respect and courtesy.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Responsibility for the purchase of all Irritek stock, consumables and stores including procuring and assessing quotations. Will also create, monitor and expedite purchase orders and approve purchase orders for payment.
- Manage supplier relationships to achieve best price, stock availability, supplier delivery dates and terms.
- Maintain accurate purchasing data on system and work with Accounts payable to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- At times work with Materials and Truck Coordinator to ensure timely deliveries of stock by Irritek or external freight.
- Contribute to office meetings and seek continual improvements in systems and operations.
- When required to produce Bills of Materials for materials for workshop work orders.
