IT Area Lead - Business Banking
In this dynamic role, the IT Area Lead is required to be capable of long-term strategic planning and work collaboratively with their business counterpart (Tribe Leads) to develop and execute a technology strategy and roadmap that is aligned with overarching business goals. They are effective in managing various stakeholders at different levels including EXCO members and will assist the Head of Technology in managing partnerships both within the organisation as well as with external vendors.
The IT Area Lead will demonstrate strong leadership qualities, strategic thinking, and a proven track record of driving transformative change within technology organizations. IT Area Lead role requires an accomplished technology leader to make a significant impact within ING, shaping the future of digital banking and driving technological innovation across the organization.
What you'll do ...
- Lead the development and implementation of the Technology strategy for your respective domains of responsibility.
- Create technology roadmaps and strategic plans that outline key initiatives, milestones, and resource requirements to achieve strategic objectives.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance issues within the technology environment.
- Collaborate with business units and stakeholders to prioritize and sequence technology projects.
- Drive strategic workforce planning to ensure that there are the right structures in place.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, consultants, and strategic partners to ensure alignment with business objectives and delivery of high-quality products and services.
- Senior managerial experience in planning, managing, and organising resources within short/medium timescales within the overall policy framework.
- Proven experience in banking / investment technology strategy development and execution in alignment with architecture and other IT functions.
- Demonstrated experience providing expert competence with 10-15 years of experience in technology. Business banking experience is preferred.
- Experienced People Leader with track record of developing engineering capability and effectiveness in a team.
- Demonstrated experience in service management tooling, Public Cloud technologies and application migration.
- Experience working with Technology Risk Frameworks, project management and delivery methodologies.
