- Achieve assigned IT channel annual sales plan and profitability. Execute growth strategies to increase market penetration with IT Partners and manage good relationship and engagement with strategic alliance partners in the allocated region.
- Conduct market research into Channel business opportunities using all available media to develop forecasts and plans that maximize future IT Channel business opportunities.
- Build understanding of the partnerships and solutions available, by educating key stakeholders.
- Identify initiatives to grow Channel partnership base by thoroughly understanding the vertical markets
- Deliver on key Channel Strategies and goals.
- Drive continuous improvements in process and engagements.
- Meet or exceed Channels business Southern Region sales targets for all the product and solutions opportunities with the customers served by the IT Partners.
- Identify, recruit, certify partners as per the Vertiv Partner Program and ensure full compliance of on-boarding process
- Enable the IT Partner organization to be prepared for quoting and winning business for Vertiv through appropriate training, certification, demonstrations and related programs.
- Conduct regular business reviews, planning, budgeting and reviews with immediate reports within the IT channels organization including the senior management team.
- Communicate and deliver the Vertiv Business Proposition for the managed partners depending on their qualification and involvement in Vertiv business.
- Keep motivating the key decision makers in partner organization to enhance the investment and resources focused on Vertiv's business growth
- Responsible for developing and growing the sales funnel through IT Channel Partners
- Provide training, solutioning and product knowledge and architecting of solutions to customers.
- Implement rules of engagements within multiple Partners and manage conflicts fairly.
- Support the Partners on sales funnel closures with select customers through necessary collaboration with the vertical managers / customer account managers.
- Achieve continuous improvements on channel health by focusing on the capabilities and appropriateness of Channel Partners and their satisfaction
- Would be ideal to have tertiary qualified or relevant qualification Mechanical and / or Electrical Engineering or other related discipline
- Comprehensive product and market knowledge in Distribution and IT Channel markets
- Minimum of 5 years in technical sales preferably in an aligned IT industry
- Proven track record in working within a sales team
- Proven track record to achieve sales targets
- Experienced with using CRM tools
