The role:
Reporting to the IT Manager and based in our Sydney Office, the IT Helpdesk Officer is responsible for developing and delivering system support to assist the business to achieve its strategic plan and organisational goals. Understand requirements, pain-points and ensure execution of business problems, projects, and technical solutions.
Our ideal candidate has a broad skill set and will have the following responsibilities:
- Contribute to the overall development of the strategic direction of applications and associated infrastructure
- Identify opportunities to improve systems and processes across the business
- Day-to-day application, printer and desktop support of the aSa ERP System
- Compile status and performance reports in a timely manner
- Preparation, maintenance, and distribution of business systems procedures manuals and help files
- Ensure employees have the skills and knowledge to fully exploit the functionality of its business systems
- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
- Receive and log request for support via Help Desk Ticketing System.
- Prioritise requests in accordance with agreed criteria and needs of Mesh and Bar
- Monitor, note problems, identify performance trends, and make corrective action recommendations to improve performance.
- Taking remedial action in response to changes, errors, and incidents, including the recommendation of technical solutions
- Installs and commissions desktop, telephony systems, and routine upgrades.
- Maintain systems and procedural documentation.
- Available to occasionally work evenings or weekends for large-scale or high priority projects.
- Adhoc tasks as requested by the IT Manager.
Qualifications
- 2 Years experience IT support or relevant practical support experience
- Experience with managing Active Directory
- Experience working with SharePoint, Teams, and Microsoft 365 cloud products.
- Significant experience implementing, upgrading, and supporting ERP systems within a manufacturing environment
- VOIP telephony experience is highly desirable
- Ability to prepare documentation of end-to-end systems and processes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Logical, analytical with great problem-solving skills
- Ability to support workforce remotely via phone, Teams, VNC etc.
