OpportunityAn exciting opportunity for a Service Desk Lead to join a leading global Financial Institution based in Sydney's CBD.

About the role

Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager you will play an integral part in delivering high quality support to internal employees as their first point of contact. You will lead the Service Desk team and leverage your problem solving  and customers service skills to provide IT solutions both on-site and remote.
  
Day to day duties include:
  • Deliver a consistently high level of IT Operations and Service Desk support as the first point of contact for the end users.
  • Complete start of day operation and health checks and resolve or escalate any errors or failures.
  • User ID Management including Active Directory (creation, deletion, modification, and reporting).
  • Monitor critical network infrastructure.
  • Create and maintain user accounts for internal access.
  • Manage helpdesk tickets in line with the companies SLA’s.
  • Conduct ongoing system maintenance and updates.
About you
The successful candidate for this role will be a confident communicator who works with a sense of urgency to provide solutions and who enjoys interacting with a variety of key stakeholders on a range of IT related queries. 
  
To be successful in this role, you will have: 
  • IT Degree / Certification
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ITIL processes as they are related to IT Service Delivery and Infrastructure
  • 2+ years of experience in Level 2 & 3 Desktop Support
  • Desire to lead and mentor a team
  • User ID Management including Active Directory (Creation, Deletion, Modification and reporting)
  • Windows 10 Operating Systems and PC support in VDI environment
  • Basic understanding of network concepts TCP\IP, DHCP, DNS
  • ServiceDesk Tool (Ticket Creation, ticket management and escalation)
  • Ability to install and configure IT Hardware
  • Strong troubleshooting & problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication & collaboration skills
