It Support Engineer

A leading multinational mining company is currently looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to be responsible for the IT services and support for the end users, and the operational support of the network & infrastructure systems.

This role is to be based at one of their mine sites within the Mudgee region of NSW (3.5 hours drive from Sydney NSW)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide IT support to local and remote staff via phone, email and face to face communication.
• Provide IT support to multiple mine sites and office locations as part of the IT service team.
• Responding to requests for assistance with IT systems and equipment in a timely manner.
• Support of all local Desktop, Laptop, Printer, Audio Visual and Telephone devices.
• Administration of onsite server and network infrastructure as directed by the IT Infrastructure group.
• Provision of Desktop and Laptop builds.
• Liaise with external vendors and service providers for hardware and software queries.
• Generation and escalation of IT Support requests and incidents in the Service Desk management tool.
• Track and maintain the progress of Service desk requests and liaise with relevant parties.
• Maintain up to date documentation of local IT environment.
• Participate in relevant site or team based ICT meetings as needed.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years experience working in the IT industry as IT Support Engineer / Systems Administrator.
• Experience with supporting Windows 10 and Office 365 environment.
• Experience with Windows Server Administration.
• Experience with Server backup and virtualisation technologies.
• Experience with Cisco Meraki, desirable.
• Experience with IP and traditional PABX Telephony systems.
• Remote support technologies.
• Current Drivers License and ability to drive.

Salary Package: $110K Base + Super + Bonus
