What we are looking for
TheIT Support Officer is the face of technology to our entire organisation – this is a crucial role for us. You’ll be responsible for the IT Service Desk, the first point of contact for anyone experiencing troubles or seeking support. We are looking for someone with cares about improving staff experience, with strong communication skills, self-directed and good at balancing multiple competing demands, and, confident to ask questions when needed.
Your day will include
- Perform Level 1 / Level 2 support, with support available from the technology team for more complex issues (Level 3+)
- Own the function within the technology team while receiving full support
- Broad remit including preparing for and onboarding new staff, responding to service desk tickets, ensuring meeting room equipment functions, creating how-to materials, and facilitating education sessions
- Focus on improving staff experience and understanding to free up capacity for joining technology team projects
- Listen for subtle staff needs and maintain a continuous improvement mindset
- A minimum 2-3 years’ experience
- Proficiency in M365 administration, including Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint
- Familiarity with Intune for centralized device management and standard operating environment (SOE)
- Strong grasp of desktop hardware and software, primarily Windows with some experience in Mac systems
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and user experience
- Effective time management, capable of handling multiple tasks and prioritizing issues
- Proficient analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a willingness to seek clarification when necessary
- Knowledgeable about data security and privacy principles
- Demonstrated initiative and confidence in working independently while addressing user needs
- Approachable, friendly, patient, and committed to delivering resolutions with strong, clear, and confident communication
