About the Position
We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic & hands on IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team in our Wantirna office. Reporting to the IT Infrastructure & Support Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day support of all IT systems within the company, which will include but are not limited to:
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, operating systems and applications
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
- Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults
- Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
- Following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
- Testing and evaluating new technology as well as supporting the roll-out of new applications
- Setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues
- Managing multiple open support incidents and liaising with stakeholders to resolve issues
- Rapidly establishing a good working relationship with users and professionals, e.g., software developers
- Conducting electrical safety checks on computer equipment
The ideal candidate will possess
- A thorough knowledge of operating systems, networking, hardware and software
- Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to explain solutions to non-technical users
- A demonstrated independent and passionate interest in all things technology
- A detail-oriented working style and the ability to prioritise, work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Certificate, Diploma, Degree or equivalent in IT or Computer Sciences is essential
- 2 years IT experience in previous role or traineeship will be highly regarded.
